About Joe and Jayne
Joe Landers, AKA Jurassic Joe, is a school music teacher, a proud dad, a gifted storyteller and a prolific songwriter (particularly when it comes to the subject of dinosaurs). With more than 20 years teaching experience from Kindergarten to Year 12, he has an invaluable working knowledge of the entire school curriculum and the developmental stages of children’s learning.
Joe has worked as a soloist, as a member of a range of ensembles, as a musical director, a film music composer, a choir director and arranger, brass band and concert band conductor, and recording studio technician. He’s been involved in music theatre, stage production, and, just to prove that big kids can have fun while learning too, he’s also worked extensively with adult community choirs (watch out mums, dads and teachers; he’ll rope you into the show!).
A rich and varied career, yes, but all this has served merely as an apprenticeship to his long-held dream – the Jurassic Joe Dinosaur Show. Originally inspired by his own son’s fascination with dinosaurs and dinosaur songs, today it is a passion he shares with the whole world.
Kimberley Brown, AKA Jurassic Jayne, draws from years of experience in the entertainment industry in Australia and internationally, and from her work with children in schools. Her combined love of performing arts and palaeontology creates a highly engaging and fun-filled presentation of the Jurassic Show incorporating Teeny the Tyrannosaur, Tricky the Triceratops and Jurassic Joe through her clever puppeteering.
As a music teacher and a parent, nothing makes me prouder than seeing children learning while having fun.
